Folkestone RFC

26 - 12

(HT 12-7)

Aylesford Bulls RFC

A weakened Aylesford Bulls fell to a second consecutive defeat on the road despite putting in a much improved performance.
Illness and absence meant Bulls were able to experiment with the line up against an established Folkestone side.
In glorious sunshine at the New Burlington Ground it took the home side five minutes to open the scoring with an unconverted try, before adding seven points 10 minutes later.
Bulls hit back before half time, with back row Ed Mead gathering a bouncing ball with one hand to run in under the posts.
Second row Liam Tyler was shown a yellow card minutes into the second half but admirable defense from Bulls kept Folkestone at bay.
An uncharacteristic scrum turn over five meters out saw Folkestone cross for a converted try before they added seven more points minutes later thanks to a neat chip kick.
Bulls clawed back five points before the final whistle, with captain Ben Pass scoring from a tap and go.
Final score: 26-12.
On Saturday Bulls welcome Medway 2nd XV to the Jack Williams Ground.
