A try in the last minute of the game saw Aylesford Bulls bag their third bonus point victory in a row on Saturday.
A physical encounter against visiting Old Dunstonians looked at points to have got away from the home side.
In a cagey opening half the sides traded scores but ODs came out on top despite being reduced to 13 men for several minutes.
They crossed first after pouncing on a loose ball, which to all the world looked to have gone forward, and feeding rampaging tight head Josh Ajiboye, who ran in under the posts unopposed.
Bulls player coach Jon Alderton, filling the fullback shirt for injured Chester Clough, soon got himself on the board, punching a hole through the defence following a well-worked line out move. Paul Cooper converted to tie the scores.
ODs’ sharp shooting 10 Mike Ubee then nudged them in front from the penalty spot going into half time.
The visitors would pull away early in the second period, again through Ajiboye who was proving a handful across the park.
Ubee kicked the extras before adding another three from the penalty spot.
Bulls needed a foothold and it came after a messy ODs offload was gathered and popped to winger Barney Brown who sprinted to the line from half way. Captain Ben Pass, standing in for Cooper after he was forced off with a head injury, converted to make it 14-20.
Number eight Harry Sievewright brought the hosts to within touching distance, picking an inch perfect line off scrum half Luke Curtis to leave Bulls trailing by a point.
Ubee pushed ODs four in front moments later.
With the clock in the red and in a near identical move to that which resulted in his first score Sievewright crashed over from metres out followed sustained pressure on ODs line. Pass slotted the extras to bring the final score to 26-23.
Bulls, now up to fifth in the league, travel to Sevenoaks on Saturday for a tough test.
