17 - 36

(HT 7-17)

Aylesford Bulls RFC

Aylesford Bulls bounced back from a narrow opening loss to claim an impressive victory over Westcombe Park on Saturday.
A young side including 15 home grown players crossed the line five times to secure their second try bonus point in as many weeks in south London.
An early penalty and strong opening 10 minutes was capped with a try for flanker Travis Coetzer converted by Finn Ashdown-Denney.
Fly half George Ayers then jinked past several defenders to open his account for the season. Ashdown-Denney added the extras to bring the score to 7-17 at the break.
Park closed the gap to five points but any pressure was soon relieved by prop Lee Gilchrist, who punched a hole through the home side’s defence with a powerful run. Ashdown-Denney converted to make it 12-24.
Hulking second row Jack Ireland joined the party, touching down from the back of a driving maul which had impressed all afternoon, before speedster Barnaby Brown galloped in for his second of the season. Ashdown-Denney adding two more to bring his tally for the day to 11 points and the final score to 17-36.
Aylesford 2nd XV beat Ash 32-19.
Bulls, sitting fourth in Counties Two, welcome Folkestone to the Jack Williams Ground on Saturday.
