Aylesford Bulls crawled off a muddy Mote having stretched their unbeaten streak against derby rivals Maidstone in the narrowest of fashions.
In a scrappy and at times ill-disciplined game Bulls out-muscled the home side up front but failed to turn pressure into points early on.
A Fin Ashdown-Denney penalty was the only difference for the first 30 minutes, Maidstone striking the post with their own attempt.
Maidstone stole the lead with a unconverted try but Bulls went into half time on top thanks to speedster Tom Hughes.
A score by Christian Dolley converted by Ashdown-Denney would prove enough, Maidstone bagging a losing bonus point thanks to a late converted try. 12-15.
Bulls, still ninth in Counties 2, have a week off before welcoming high-flying Thanet.
