Aylesford Bulls RFC
Snowdown RFC

A draw was all that was on offer on Saturday against top-of-the-table Snowdown C.W due to a HWO in the previous fixture.
A strong and honest 2nd team turned up firing, scoring in the first five minutes through hard-running Devon Berrington.
Man of the match Berrington spent the afternoon notching up yards and putting in big hits all over field, resulting in a further two tries.
The first half saw Bulls working diligently through forward pattens allowing the quick feet of the backs to create multiple holes in a physical Snowdown back line.
Full back Russell Trundle and scrum half Frankie Jolley dotted down to take the half time score to 26-12.
The away side’s tries came from their centre off a dominant scrum which didn’t let up all afternoon. Bulls were forced to go uncontested at the end of the first half after an injury to Josh Ellis.
After some stern words in the half time chat, Snowdown started the second period strongly, only for Bulls winger Dennis Ayers to link up with his hot-stepping brother, George, scoring from within his own half.
Snowdown responded through their flanker, who pushed off defenders for fun and broke into the open field. The visitor’s heavy pack were the ultimate beneficiaries, burrowing under the posts.
With the score at 26-19 there was a game to be had at the Jack Williams Ground.
But in the final 30 minutes Bulls pulled away, their superior play silencing the rowdy travelling supporters.
Fly half Paul Cooper, accurate with the boot throughout, showed great management to keep the foot on the throttle, executing his game plan flawlessly and allowing the pacey backline to grow the score.
Full time: 45-26 and a very happy club house.
Now sitting sixth in Kent A and slowly climbing the table, Aylesford 2s welcome Weavering Warriors this Saturday.
The 1st team’s campaign in Counties 2 starts up again away at bottom-of-the-table Dartford Valley.
