Westcombe Park RFC

38 - 32

(HT 0-0)

Aylesford Bulls RFC

It was a full-force weekend for Aylesford Bulls RFC, with four senior sides taking to the field and delivering a mix of grit, flair, and heart across the board.
The First XV came agonisingly close to their first league win in a dramatic clash away at Westcombe Park. After storming to a 25-point lead, the Bulls looked in control thanks to a composed and clinical first half. Full-back Tom Hughes was in fine form, slotting three penalties and converting his own stunning solo try from deep. He added another score before feeding Devon Berrington, who powered through to set up Christian Dolley for a second converted try. At 33-12 up, the Bulls were flying.
But the second half told a different story. Westcombe Park capitalised on Bulls’ lapses in discipline and defence, with two yellow cards proving costly. Despite a valiant defensive stand, the hosts clawed back to level the game before sealing a late winner to edge it 38-33. Bulls take a hard-earned point and will look to build on this momentum in next weekend’s local derby against Maidstone.
Elsewhere, the 2nd XV delivered a commanding performance, cruising to a 44-12 win over Cranbrook 2s, showcasing depth and dominance across the squad.
And to cap off the weekend in style, the Ladies 1st XV brought home a thrilling 22-21 victory over Jersey in NC1. A huge result that reflects the growing strength and spirit of the women's side.
A weekend of highs, heartbreak, and heroics – the Bulls are charging forward with pride!
