A sunny May afternoon set the scene for the Bulls’ final run‑out of the season, and despite their 1st XV being away in a playoff and a home cricket match in full swing, Tunbridge Wells still delivered a warm welcome and a great afternoon of grassroots rugby.
With the sun beating down and strong travelling support behind the 2s, Aylesford produced a performance full of intent, teamwork, and ambition. What followed was a succession of great rugby spirit, with the Bulls finding their rhythm and running in tries from all over the park.
A huge shout‑out to Barney, who delivered a standout performance with five tries — a brilliant display of finishing. Matt Hill added a superb hat‑trick, while Liam Tyler, Sam Gale, Ewan Bruce, Phil Bellhouse, Jon Donovan and Josh Pinnick each crossed the whitewash to keep the scoreboard moving. Sam Gale also added the conversions with calm accuracy to round off a strong 88–21 away win.
A fitting end to the season: sunshine, camaraderie, and rugby played the Bulls way — hard, honest, and full of heart.
Up the Bulls.
