The mighty Aylesford Bulls Ladies Casuals made the short trip to Vigo RFC for an Inner Warrior Series tournament, with their ranks bolstered by players from Edenbridge.

The stage was set for the opening 20-minute match against the hosts, Vigo RFC. Two quick tries from Evi Smith and one successful conversion from Immy Armstrong gave the Casuals a strong 12–0 lead before the break. The team continued to impress as Marisa crossed the line with a well-executed try, extending the score to 17–0. Grace then showed her pace to race in for another try, with Immy adding the extras to make it 24–0. Grace struck again shortly after, her electric speed proving unstoppable, and Immy’s conversion sealed a dominant 31–0 victory over Vigo RFC.

With the cold setting in, the Casuals wasted no time in their second match against Dover RFC. Marisa opened the scoring once more, with Immy slotting the conversion for a 7–0 lead. Evi, playing against her former club, powered over for another try, again converted by Immy, making the final score 14–0 to the Casuals.

As the temperature dropped and the evening darkened, the Casuals faced Faversham RFC. The team stood firm, with Catherine Dooley (13) scoring the first try, converted by Immy for 7–0. Immy then crossed the line herself for her first try of the tournament, extending the lead to 12–0. The Canadian powerhouse Marisa added another to make it 17–0, before Kirsty Oldershaw made a scintillating 30-metre break to score her first try, rounding off a confident 22–0 victory.

Under the floodlights, the stage was set for the final match against Sevenoaks RFC. The Eden Bulls Casuals put up one hell of a fight - tackle after tackle, ruck after ruck - but a lucky break from a Sevenoaks centre saw them take a narrow 5–0 lead. The Casuals dug deep, earning a line-out on the Sevenoaks 22, but despite their best efforts, they couldn’t regain possession. Sevenoaks cleared their lines, and the game ended in a hard-fought 5–0 defeat.

The tournament was played in fantastic spirits - a true testament to the passion, teamwork, and determination that define ladies’ grassroots!
