Aylesford Bulls Rugby Club celebrated a momentous evening at this year’s Summer Ball, marked by heartfelt camaraderie, fond farewells, and the official handover of the Club presidency from long-serving President Andy Smith to incoming President Neil Wiltshire.

Held on a warm summer evening at our club grounds, the annual Summer Ball brought together players, members, sponsors, and supporters for an event that was both celebratory and symbolic. The highlight of the evening came as Andy Smith, after years of dedicated service, formally passed the presidential jacket to Neil Wiltshire in a speech filled with gratitude and optimism.

Andy Smith has been a cornerstone of the Aylesford Bulls community, serving with integrity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to the club’s development. Under his guidance, Bulls have not only seen continued success across multiple teams but also strengthened their standing as a family-focused club with deep roots in the local community.

In his parting address, Andy reflected on the journey, stating, “It’s been an absolute honour to serve as President of this incredible club. What makes Aylesford Bulls special isn’t just the rugby, it’s the people. I leave this role proud of what we’ve achieved and confident in the future that lies ahead.”

Taking the reins is Neil Wiltshire, a long-time club member with a proven record of commitment to Bulls and county rugby. Known for his enthusiasm, approachability, and clear vision for the club’s future, Neil steps into the role with widespread support and high expectations with his chosen focus of improving the floodlights for our playing experience.

As glasses were raised and the dance floor came alive, the spirit of the Aylesford Bulls remained evident - resilient, united, and forward-looking. With a new chapter starting, the club enters a new era, poised to continue its proud tradition of rugby excellence, community involvement, and inclusive culture.

The Summer Ball not only celebrated the past and welcomed the future, it reminded everyone present why Aylesford Bulls is more than just a rugby club. It’s a family.
