Aylesford Bulls are pleased to share that Finley Ashdown‑Denney has been selected for the Kent U20 squad to face Surrey this Sunday at Esher RFC with a 2pm KO.
Fin’s connection to Bulls runs deep. He joined the club at five years old and has grown through every age group, bringing the same energy and commitment that people still recognise in him today.
His development through the county and academy pathways has been steady and well‑earned. Fin has represented Kent in youth rugby, spent time in the Kent PDG, and gained experience within the Saracens Academy setup, all before making his senior debut for Bulls in 2024 at just 17.
Last season, his first full year in senior rugby, he made a positive impression on and off the pitch. He finished as the league’s top points scorer and shared the President’s Award with teammate Tom Hughes, reflecting the contribution he made to the squad throughout the year.
Like many young players, Fin has had his share of injuries, but his determination to return and keep improving has been a consistent part of his journey.
Away from playing, he regularly supports the younger age groups, offering his time, enthusiasm, and experience. He’s well‑liked by the kids and sets a strong example for those coming through the club.
We wish Fin, the entire Kent U20 squad, and their coaching team the very best for Sunday’s match against Surrey.
And there’s more to come! Kent’s second fixture will be a home match vs Hampshire, played at Ashford Rugby Club on 15th March. We encourage the Bulls family and the wider Kent rugby community to turn out in force, make some noise, and get behind this county squad.
