With falling cask ale sales and the unfortunate closure of Musket Brewery, the bar has lacked a strong ale option, made harder by rising prices. We’re excited to introduce two new Shepherd Neame lines that we believe will quickly win over members. Iron Wharf, launched in April 2025, brings roasted barley, chocolate notes and a ruby tint inspired by Faversham Creek’s maritime heritage. Spitfire Amber, brewed since 1990 using 100% Kentish hops and Faversham well water, delivers caramelised malt sweetness balanced with spicy, herbal hops. Both offer quality, heritage and flavour at a time we truly need it.
